Computer is shutdown instead of doing a restart or computer is restarted instead of shutting down
Due to a limitation in the way Windows 2003 informs applications of a Windows shutdown, SyncBack does not know if the computer is to be shutdown or restarted. It only knows that Windows is going to terminate. This problem does not occur on Windows Vista and later as Microsoft has changed the way Windows is shutdown and restarted.
If you are using Windows 2003:
- Select Preferences -> Options from the main menu, go to the Expert tab, and change the setting "...after profiles have run when configured to run on shutdown/restart" as appropriate.
Applies to: SyncBackPro V8 (and older) versions only. The option has been removed in V9 (or newer) version.
