You can have SyncBack ignore Junction Points to avoid copying files inside those directories. This is useful, for example, when the Junction Point points to a directory that is being backed up as part of another profile. It can also avoid recursive loop problems. To do this:
- Modify your profile
- Switch to Expert mode
- SyncBack V7: Go to the Compare Options->Attributes settings page
- SyncBack V6: Go to the Copy/Delete->Folders settings page
- Make sure the Ignore NTFS junction points (reparse points) checkbox is ticked
