Backblaze B2 customers can now access their data using either the Master Application key or a normal Application key. The Master application key provides complete access to everything in your B2 account. However, the Application Keys limit access to a single storage bucket, or certain files within a bucket.

SyncBackPro V8.5.75.0 (and newer versions) supports backing-up files to Backblaze using either a Master Key or an Application Key.

How to configure SyncBackPro to use Master Key/Application Key

1. Click on the New button to create a new profile in SyncBackPro

2. Enter a name for your profile e.g. Backup to Backblaze, and click Next

3. Select the profile type and click Next

4. Select Backblaze as your Destination and click Next.

5. In the ‘Cloud Connection Details’ page, you need to enter Backblaze Key ID and Application key to authenticate with Backblaze.

Master Key

If you want to use Master Key, enter your Key ID and Master Application key in the Key ID and Application Key fields.

The Key ID can be obtained from Backblaze B2 web interface. Login to Backblaze via its web interface and copy the Key ID from App keys page.

Note: The Master Application key will appear only once when you create the Master key. If you lose the Application key, then you need to recreate Master Key.

Application Key

If you want to use B2 Application key, then enter your Application Key ID and Application key associated with Application key ID in the Key ID and Application Key fields.

The Application Key ID can be obtained from Backblaze B2 web interface. Login to Backblaze via its web interface and copy applicationKeyId from ‘Your Application Keys’ section at the bottom of App keys page.

Note: The Application key will appear only once when you create the Application key. If you lose the Application key, then you need to recreate the Application Key.

6. After entering the Key ID and Application Key, click on Refresh button. Then select the storage bucket from the Bucket/Container list and click on Done button. The Profile will be created.
