There are a number of possible reasons why the installer may not start:


1) Check the Windows Event Log to see why Windows did not start the installer. Open Event Viewer → Windows Logs → Application and System. Look for:

- Application Error
- SideBySide
- .NET Runtime
- Windows Error Reporting
- AppCrash or Faulting module name

2) Windows may silently block executables. For the installer executable, within Windows File Explorer, right-click → Properties. If you see “This file came from another computer and might be blocked”, click Unblock.

3) SmartScreen may suppress execution without a prompt if configured by policy. Check Windows Security → App & Browser Control → Protection history

4) If you're using anti-virus software, check if it is blocking execution.
