A common request is for SyncBack to rename the copy of a file. For example, append the current date and time onto the backup copy. This is not possible in SyncBack. The source (original) and destination (copy/backup) must have identical names.
It is possible to copy all the files from the source into a directory with the date appended, for example, simply by using variables in the destination path. Likewise, you can do the same when compressing to a single compressed file. However, the folder and filenames within the destination cannot be changed.
